The Doors were asked to change the lyrics of the song (specifically, the line "girl, we couldn't get much higher") to be more suitable for a (conservative) coast-to-coast live audience. The band promised to do so, but Morrison opted to not change the lyrics at the last minute and performed the unedited version live on-air. Ed Sullivan was so upset that he refused to shake Morrison's hand as he left the stage and the band was subsequently banned from appearing on the show again.

What is the title of the Doors album released in 1967?

Ron Howard once made a guest appearance on a sitcom that was built around a TV show, but might possibly have been a radio station. The interviewer seemed to feel he was interviewing Opie, not Ron Howard, and asked about Aunt Bee, Andy, etc. They even asked him to sing the song 'Wells Fargo Wagon' with his lisp. He gave up and actually sang the song before the show ended. I can't remember the name of the show, but hope to find it and maybe see that episode again. Can anyone remember this show?
