At the end of an article in cnn.com by a study funded by the Swedish Medical Research council, it states "Each of the three groups of subjects included 12 healthy, unmedicated, right-handed and HIV-negative individuals", I can understand healthy, unmedicated and HIV-negative participants, but is it truly necessary to say all participants were right-handed as opposed to left-handed?
