    Is the theme music for the current Mission Impossible movies the same as the television show with the same name that showed in the 60s and 70s?

    Yes it is. "Theme from Mission:Impossible" by Lalo Schifrin

    Well, that's the short answer. The long answer is that the theme is the same theme, but for the movies it was modified and extended. Also for the movies the arrangement was disposed of that delicious 5/4 rhythm which made the theme for the show so memorable.
