What is the name given to a cat of a certain colour pattern which inevitably includes black, white, and ginger, which can only really be given to a female cat due to a genetic pattern?

In the U.S., we do call a cat with this coloring a "calico," but in the U.K., the term is apparently "tortoiseshell and white." Over 90% of such cats are female.
My own and much-lamented Iolanthe, who lived to be 18, was a calico cat:
