    Can a female dog have pups fathered by two different male dogs in the same litter?

    		The American Kennel Club allows for the registration of litters with more than one sire.

    		As far as I am aware, any female that produces more than a single egg during ovulation can produce multiple offspring that has more than a single father.
    Indeed it has been known for human females to do exactly this.
    Obviously we are talking twin and triplet (or more) births where the babies are not identical (ie not single egg).
    Often this is not detected until later in life when organ donation or similar issues reveal DNA differences.

    The most obvious case of this (which I'm sure has been documented several times) is the case of twins where one baby is white and the other baby is black!
    OOOPS!
    Now that would have been entertaining!
    Oh to have been a fly on the wall.
