    Tut! Nobody has mentioned the grand-daddy of all-rounders CB Fry (ancestor of writer/actor/comedian Stephen Fry). He captained England at cricket, played football for England (also reaching an FA Cup final with Sothampton), played rugby for the Barbarians and still found time to break the world long jump record!
    Ian Botham played football for Scunthorpe as well as being one of England's greatest cricket all-rounders, while his son, Liam Botham went from cricket to rugby union to rugby league.
    I gather, Ilie Nastase, the tennis player went on to play professional golf in Romania.
    "Steady" Eddie Charlton was a champion surfer before finding fame on the green baize of the snooker table.
    Fred Perry was a champion at table tennis and tennis...
