Absolutely...I have heard NOTHING about Canada having 14-20 MILLION illegal aliens as does the U.S.-- Now... that's a huge difference.

Canada not having any immigrations quotas makes for a pretty significant difference from U.S. policy. One tends NOT to hear about illegal aliens when the borders are essentially wide open.

Of course, being reachable by long distance air or long distance sea voyage, or through the USA, it's a bit harder to be an illegal immigrant in Canada. Stowing away ain't what it used to be, and the only country with borders on land is the USA. There's a short sea crossing from France. though. That is, from St Pierre and Miquelon - two little islands off the Canadian coast that for some obscure reason we didn't take when we got Quebec. Illegal immegrants would tend to stick out a bit in St Pierre, and they're not easy to get to - except through Canada.... http://www.st-pierre-et-miquelon.com/english/comment.php
