Attention TV/cartoon aficionados: Did the writers/animators for the Superfriends base their design of the "Hall of Justice" from an actual building? Was it this one?

Question #66039. Asked by Hungwan. (May 22 06 6:11 AM)

I'm not finding any concrete evidence that says it is, but a lot of people seem to think so.

'The Hall of Justice' as often seen in the cartoon, seems to have a striking resemblence to the Union Terminal building in Cincinnati, Ohio. Once a train station, it is now a museum. It seems likely that the animators copied the design from this or a similar building.

Union Terminal (aka "Hall of Justice")
Once a bustling railroad terminal, Union Terminal is now home to the Cincinnati Museum Center (bringing 3 museums and an Omnimax theatre all under one roof). Some local folk might refer to it as the "Hall of Justice" due to it's architectural similarities. If you look closely you might be able to see Superman, Wonderwoman, or some of the other Super Friends...

The Union Terminal served as Cincinnati's train station from its completion in 1933 until 1972. After an ill-fated stint as a mall, it is now the Cincinnati Museum Center, housing several museums and an Omnimax Theater. It is most recognizable as the Hall of Justice in the Superfriends cartoons.
