In Buddhism, how old was Gautama when he saw the 'Four Sights'?

I thought that that is how old he was when he renounced because that is how old he was when his son was born. I was told he was a child when he saw the four sights, i just can't remember how old exactly. Thanks anyway. May 22 06, 3:39 PM

I'm not sure which was 9 and which was 16, was he 9 when he went to the plowing festival and meditated? because if so i'm pretty sure he was 16 when he saw the 4 sights. Thanks anyway though. May 26 06, 9:56 AM
