    		It is from a Astrid Lindgren book. Pippi Longstocking would be the person doing this. You can also watch this in one of the films.

    		my four siblings and used to polish our floors by this method. mum would apply the polish (wax actually) and then we tied old clothes(rags) on our feet, knees, bottoms etc... and has wonderful time. saved Mum a lot of hard work.
