There is a $50 fine for picking a tulip in Holland.
If you were to plant a tulip from seed, it would take 21 years to bloom.

Neither of these websites seems very authentic to me.
One is a simple asserion as an answer to a trivial question, without any reference.
The other is an Americam company site.
I'm sure in the Netherlands they would not issue fines in dollars, and the Euro amount is unlikely to be a round number in US dollars.

MY answer was specific TO the town of Holland, Michigan...which, incidentally, boasts a $100 fine on other sites. All of the research I have done nets info ONLY on Holland, Michigan.

Oho, a trick question I see. I should have realised it as it didn't use the official name of the country 'The Netherlands'.
