    What is the difference between the Microsoft Works Spreadsheet and Microsoft Office Excel Spreadsheet, they seem the same to me?

    		They may appear the same but are vastly different. Excel is much more sophisticated and has more features AND tools. The Works Spreadsheet is fairly basic and has all of the features that a "lay person" would need...but, Excel is the crème de la crème and widely used in the fields of accounting and finance.

    		Zbeck correct. My computer came with Works, but I quickly figured out that I needed Excel...also Works word processing is pretty lame also...Word much better.
