I sure can't find any definitive plans...I have e-mailed the NRC and asked them. If they respond...I will post.
The "rankings" project is ongoing. The National Academies are building a database that has quantitative information from universities about
their doctoral programs. This database will allow for program comparisons in a wide variety of areas. The project will be completed by 2007. We're also working on a book of analytical essays on the types of studies that could be conducted with the data mentioned above. The book will be available in 2008.
