    What percentage of the English language is comprised of Latin?

    More than half of English comes from Latin or Greek (some of the Latin words themselves come from the Greek.) However, everyday language is more than half of Anglo-Saxon origin. As a token of this, check any three-plus syllable word, it is almost always Latin.
