Three minor hits were spawned from the album and embraced by MTV. They released another album two years later but they had fizzled. They released one more album of cover songs in 1994. Shortly after the band split up. Who were they?

    There is a poem briefly recited in the film "The History Boys." I think the boy said it was by Stevie Smith, of "Not Waving but Drowning" fame.
