Why does trimming hair promote faster growth?
Question
#67126. Asked by herbicide.

It doesn't. Hair grows at the same rate no matter how long it is. But it will appear to grow faster, because it is growing more in proportion to its own length. For example, if your hair grows by 1mm per day, and it is 1mm long, then next day it will have doubled in length. But if it is 10cm long, it will have only increased in length by 1% in a day.

Like Gnomom says, it doesn't. What will, is nourishment from a healthy dietary intake.
