As a previous question pointed out, a painting by Picasso has held a certain record. That record has just been broken. What is it, what is the new record-holder, and can you provide an illustration?

Boy with a Pipe remains the most expensive painting ever sold since it went under the hammer at a New York auction for $135.6 million in May 2004.

Sorry, zbeck, but that site is incorrect (though it may be adding the buyer's premium charged at auctions.)
"Boy With a Pipe" is now the old record holder, and it sold for just over $104 million. "Dora Maar with Cat" sold for just over $95 million. There is a brand-new record holder, the identity of which has just been announced.

That's the one, zbeck, and yes, it is magnificent, though I never expected to see a Klimt fetch such a price. That's precisely the site I had in mind.
It's a grievous loss for Vienna, although it could be argued that this is justice. At least Lauder plans to exhibit the work rather than hide it away in a private collection.
