    		I read about this a couple of months ago. But my memory is hazy. My first guess is Clapton and second is Pete Townshend

    		I've heard that Eric Clapton was quite jealous of Jimi Hendrix.

    		Clapton (quite rightly) said Hendrix was years ahead of what he himself was trying to do, but I always understood this to be said in admiration rather than jealousy.
