How many countries do not charge taxes on purchased goods?

Question #67836. Asked by kyleisalive. (Jul 04 06 2:42 PM)

Tough question. Here in the U.S. there is no national sales tax AND the following states do not charge sales tax: Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon. In some cases sales tax is also assessed at the county or municipal level.
