    How do you make shampoo?

Question #68276. Asked by yumchicken. (Jul 15 06 4:57 PM)

    zbeckabee

This homemade shampoo recipe is one on my all time favorites. It makes my hair soft, shiny, and it holds my hairstyle better.

    Shampoo Ingredients:

    5 bags of chamomile tea

4 tablespoons of pure soap flakes

    1 1/2 tablespoons of glycerin

    Directions:

I steep the tea bags in about 1 1/2 cups of boiling water for about 12 minutes. Then I remove the tea bags and add the soap and glycerin. Stir it up till it is blended good and your homemade shampoo is ready.

You can even try other fragrances with your homemade shampoo.

......alternatively, if you have run out, you can use your dish-washing detergent or your bubble-blowing liquid as they all contain the same active ingredient---sodium laureth sulfate.

Ever compared the ingredients on a bottle of Morning Fresh and Pantene? ;)

Or you could use regular soap.

I have not used "shampoo" in twenty years. Regular bar soap does the job beautifully. Not Dial or Ivory mind you. Neutrogena or other Glycerine soaps. Now this is clean!
