Babies can hear things that we can't (very high frequency sounds), but there is no evidence that they can see anything that we can't.

Some people believe that because of their innocence babies and young children are able to see ghost/spirit type things.

The problem is that while they're babies, they can't tell us, and when they can they're no longer quite so innocent....

Apparently when i was a toddler i was playing in the corner of the room and talking to someone and when my parents asked me what i was doing i told them i was playing with Great-Grandad Reg. My mum went into the kitchen and burst into tears because he had died a few days earlier. I don't remember any of it but when my parents told me it freaked me out!

I've heard (and I can't back this up) that babies actually see less than we do...their vision is blurry and colors such as red and orange look the same...which is why black and white mobiles are more stimulating to an infant than colorful ones.

I read in a newspaper that for a short while after they are born they still see everything upside down because their brain doesn't adjust immediately. Anyone know if this is true?
