I have just read two artciles about Hitler. The first said that at the time of his death Hitler appeared to be showing symptoms of syphilis while the second said that the evidence suggests that Hitler never had any sexual relations. Which article is more likely to be correct or is there any way both can be correct?

Historian Robert Waite claims Hitler tested negative on a Wassermann test as late as 1939 although this does not prove that he did not have the disease as the Wasserman test was prone to false-positive results.
