This King supposedly had a mixture of a crushed perennial plant (which yields a powerful antibiotic), and 'water of life' placed on his mouth after his birth to ensure intelligence. Who was it, what is the antibiotic, and the specific name of the 'water'?

The King was Henry IV of France, the antibiotic was garlic, and the "eau de vie" in question was Armagnac (strong stuff for a newborn):

Nice One Frankiebabe. 'Tis the right King and all. I'm in the middle of 'distilling' my own vat of Limoncello, and was researching a bit about ethanol and other dubious ingredients I have in my cauldron at the moment. ;)
