    		John Mraz WROTE the article to which you are referring and it is Bravo's birthday (4 February 1902) that you have posted and not the birthday of Mraz.

    "The most renowned photographer in the history of Latin America, Manuel Alvarez Bravo is the cornerstone of this art in Mexico."

    I have been unable to locate info that would help to answer this question but will keep looking.
