Interesting fellow was Henry Fielding. Playwright, barrister and Magistrate of London. He pioneered organised law enforcement with his robin redbreasts, so named for the red vests they wore. These were to become the bow street runners, which eventually, under Robert Peel, became the Metropolitan Police force. He died aged 46.
