    Who were Bas and Zipoites?

    		Bas was a ruler of Bithynia (in what is now Turkey. He was succeeded by Zipoites, who took the title basileus (king) - what his father's title was, I don't know. He had a long life for those days, and did what most rulers did, fought with many of his neighbours.
