In that particular case, I have heard "husband, wife, partner AND spouse."

I think people usually refer to them as partners but they may both say 'my husband' when talking about the other.

Oh...I just realized what this question is actually asking. A husband is a male spouse and a wife is a female spouse. Thus, aside from the standard
"partners," one would refer to them as "husbands."
