Must a Hamsa have an eye?

Question #69654. Asked by zbeckabee. (Aug 13 06 1:29 PM)

Well, the purpose of the 'Khamsa' is to protect against the 'evil eye', so I guess it's there to remind people why they have one hanging around their neck.

Yes Peasy, that's the correct Hamsa (Khamsa).

One may contain an eye--though one need not contain an eye as it is the shape of a hand that makes the Hamsa.
