The Hornbill. The male seals its mate behind a mud wall in a tree trunk nest, to deter predators. He later feeds her and the chicks through a hole. Once the chicks are old enough, the female breaks out. Reference site with image: http://www.lam.mus.ca.us/birds/guide/pg017.html
