Forty years after his death, a famous gypsy-born jazz composer and guitar player became the first artist in his category to be celebrated by the French postal services as some kind of national hero, though in fact the man had been born in Belgium near Charleroi. Who was he and can you also say what the nominal value of the post-stamp was?

Possibly inspired, in the 1930's, by a mortal enemy of the body that has made it famous, it is closely associated with a French composer and can usually be seen, on a limited number of Saturdays, every fall. What is it, who was the composer, and can you find me a site that shows it taking place?

A typical case is a famous French composer who had two cello concertos; the first is very famous and had been recorded by every cellist, but the second very few times. Do you know who he was?
