One of the quizzes states that Christopher Reeve died of a broken neck. Is this true?

I'm not sure how it all links together and how the heart attack (if it was a heart attack) is linked to the paralysis but he didn't die directly from the broken neck, he was paralysed for years because of it but its my understanding that whatever it was he died from was a complication of either the initial injury or the fact that he was paralysed. Christopher Reeve became a spokesman for disabled people and a vocal supporter of stem cell research.
