If Queen Elizabeth should die before the Duke of Edinburgh, and Prince Charles becomes King Charles III, what would the Duke of Edinburgh's title become? King Father?

No precedent on this. Mary I was succeeded by her sister, Mary II left William III on the throne, Anne outlived her husband and wasn't succeeded by a child of hers, and Albert died before Victoria. It is unlikely, though. The Queen Mother title is unusual, and serves to distinguish between two living queens, one a previous consort and the other reigning. The Dook would still be the Dook.

The term Queen Mother is a title often held by the mother of a reigning monarch. Its full meaning is clear from the two words from which it is composed: queen indicates someone who served as Queen consort (i.e., wife of a king), while mother indicates the holder of the title's relationship with the current monarch.1 The title is not held by someone unless she is simultaneously a former queen consort and mother of the current monarch.

Because of this, the Duke of Edinburgh would not be the King Father because he is not called a "King Consort."

He remains the Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and continues to hold all of his titles ecept Consort.

By the way Charles need not necessarily take Charles as his regal name.

I heard he would not be Charles III as he is not keen on 1 or both previous Charlses.

If the Queen lasts as long as her mother did, the question may not even arise! Abdication is not a very common thing in the British monarchies, and rarely voluntary as Edward VIII's was.
