    Heaven 17 is one group taking their name from a fictional pop group mentioned in Anthony Burgess's novel A Clockwork Orange.

    I can't find a reference for an umbrella name under which these types of bands would fall.

    Another band named after the book or movie is Moloko.

    Heaven 17 book & film originally the name of a fictional band in A Clockwork Orange as were The Blow Goes, Comic Strips, The Mixers, The Sharks, The Humpers, The Legend, Bread Brothers, Johnny Zhivago, Cyclops and Goggly Gogol

    Arctic:
    Of the ten I found five to be actual musical groups Johnny Zhivago, The Humpers, The Sharks, Comic Strips & The Blow Goes. There's no link because I looked each one seperately.
