Certain head-gear of a well known Head of State has been acknowledged (by way of myth or otherwise) by religious outfits to somehow represent a controversial evil character by calculating letters of a Latin phrase associated with it. What is it, who wears it, what is the phrase, and which country's flag is it found on?

This would be the Papal Tiara, the supposed letters (Vicarius Filii Dei) on which -- or on one example -- are said by some to add up, in equivalent Latin numerals, to 666. The flag is the Vatican's.
Sigh. Some people obviously don't have enough to do with their time.

Well, there's the fact that it's square. Also, they fool around with the keys depending on what the flag is supposed to be representing -- the State or the Church.
Er, is that "sprinkles" reference supposed to be significant in any way?
