I couldn't find you specific figures for Wrigley, alas, but I consulted my husband on the subject in general. He believes that a bleacher seat for a Philadelphia Phillies games at Connie Mack stadium couldn't have cost more than 50 cents in the 1950's, which is when he started attending games as a small child. Chicago ticket prices were probably comparable. What new ballpark has a 20,000-pound mitt modeled on a 1927 Rawlings above the left-field bleachers? During my last visit to Wrigley Field, I noticed two circular dirt patches, on either side of home plate. These were not the on-deck circles, as they were located closer to each dugout.
