Come on, it's not that obscure and I think it's an interesting curiosity. This guy once led his league in saves and posted more than 100 in his career. Career batting stats: 31 for 78 in regular season games, including 10 for 19 in 1972. He spent several years in the AL, both before and after the DH. A lefty batter, his lifetime average average against lefties was .500 (10 for 20).
