Once considered one of the most beautiful women in the world, she lived near a park in a big city. A popular song was supposedly composed about her (the title mentions her first name and also the place where she lived) A movie was later made with this song's title, but the movie was not about our woman: it was a thinly veiled story about the real-life woman who used to sing the song on the stage. Our woman did not rely on her beauty: she drew on another talent to produce something that eventually became known the world over, bringing her a fortune -- a fortune that eventually vanished, as did she in a fashion: she left the big city and moved to her family home in the wilderness, which burned after her death. The lot, and her grave, were reclaimed by nature for a time. Today, a rebuilt house and museum celebrate her life, with some fanfare planned for later this year. Who was she?

This woman was born into lower classes (her mother was a stage performer) and attended the school where her father taught. She eventually took a job as a governess and married the brother of her charges. She was constantly raising her social status, often creating minor scandals. Later in her life, she became reacquainted with a former suitor whose death she may or may not have been involved in. Who is she?
