Why is the population of people growing so fast in the United States? Where is the United States of America going to put them all?

Some of our huge Western states (Wyoming, Montana, Idaho) have very small populations. People can always move there.

Our birthrate is comparatively low at the moment (though not as low as those in several European countries), so much of the increase is being fed by immigration.
As for where we're going to put them all -- I know some people in Alaska who think they could use some new fellow residents. Alaska's a big state. Anyone for Barrow?
Here's an interesting "List of Countries by Birth Rate":

The USA? The world- current predictions (which are already taking place) are for exponential growth, and like businesses that grow too fast, the bubble bursts and that could well happen to us. Fill the world with too many people and something could suddenly reduce it due to competition for limited resources obviously including space. The current room available is often almost uninhabitable in many places and this is the most serious problem facing mankind which few politicians or scientists dare to mention.

America is not populating quickly enough if you are not refering to resident alien or illegal alien birth rates. At the rate that "legal" America is populating, we will be over run be "others" quite soon.
I am not talking along racial or ethnic lines. All I am saying is that the growth rate in America is not from live births but from open borders.

Still, the arguments against illegal immigration cannot be because of a lack of physical space for people to live. Even states as small as New Hampshire have plenty of room. (NH is mostly forest area.) Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and their neighbors are less dense in population than Mongolia, not to mention Alaska, which is about as big as a third of the lower 48 states.

Certainly Arpe! But.......Illegals come here for one reason. To make the dinero! Can not do that in the woods! At least not like in a metro area.
So density problems have and will always exist around the Rivers and the coasts.

This isn't a debate about illegal immigration. Stick to the question, please, or open a thread in the forums.

Why? Immigration.
Where? That would be speculation. Besides, the country doesn't put people anywhere; people move themselves. The government doesn't decide where people live, move, or work as long as they are legally living and working there.

In the news, I heard these statistics: someone is born every 3 seconds, someone dies every 7 seconds, and an immigrant arrives every 31 seconds. I'm not sure if I believe it or not, but if it's true, then that's why we have millions of people.

I was concerned by Lanfranco's comment 'Our birthrate is comparatively low at the moment (though not as low as those in several European countries), so much of the increase is being fed by immigration.'
I never realised cannibalism was wide spread in the USA.
