Are all squares rectangles, or are all rectangles squares? Help me!

Squares and rectangles are quadrilaterals. Meaning that they have 4 sides. Square denotes that the quadrilateral has 4 sides of equal length. Rectangles denotes that each 2 oppposite sides are of equal length. Niether are each other. Oct 22 06, 9:00 AM

Squares are rectangles by that definition - they have each two opposite sides equal. What makes it a square is that both pairs of opposite sides are equal to each other. Still a rectangle. Square and oblong aren't the same, though, even they're both rectangles. In an oblong, the two pairs of opposite sides are not all the same length. Oct 22 06, 9:29 AM
