    A file extension that encodes music into three layers for the compression of audio signals. Because MP3 files are relatively small, they can easily be transferred across the Internet.

    Audio CD

    Compact disks used to reproduce sounds like voices and music.

    MP3 is a compreession format. A CD is "CDDA" or Compact Disc Digital Audio format.
