What was Sky Masterson's, of Guys and Dolls, first bet he lost and where was he when he lost the bet? (not bet from Guys and Dolls)?

Question #71925. Asked by hilangelg. (Oct 31 06 7:13 PM)

    Brainyblonde

Nathan wagers that Sky will not be able to talk the virginal Salvation Army lass Sarah Brown into going on a date with him.
Thanks to some fast finagling, Sky is able to take Sarah on that date, flying to Havana for this purpose.

I went to a Saturday matinee movie in about 1958 or 1959, and I saw a western that I'd love to find again. I don't think it had any big-name stars in it. The only part of the plot I remember: Two good guys - one older, one younger (perhaps a child) are trapped in a cabin that the bad guys are going to burn down. The older good guy digs a hole in the dirt floor of the cabin, puts the younger guy in the hole, and covers him with dirt. He has a stovepipe to breathe through, and a coffee can inverted over the end of the stovepipe, either to keep the dirt out or maybe so the bad guys won't realize he's under there. The house burns to the ground and the bad guys think they've killed both good guys, but the younger one actually survives. I think it was in color but I'm not even sure of that. If you don't know the film, do you know of other places I might ask?

In just about every western movie I've seen, the good guys, or the bad guys, walk into a saloon and order "whiskey". Is that the only alcoholic drink that was available in the mid 1800s 'Wild West'?

There is a commercial with two guys and a young girl in between them, the "niece" of one of the two guys. One of the guys asks the girl if she likes a particular item (the item that the commercial is advertising.) She doesn't respond so the guy says, "I'll take that as a yes." What is the item that this particular commercial is advertising?
