Unlike catholic priests , ministers were regarded as bringers of bad luck to fishing (Anson 1950, p.36). In Presbyterian Scotland, for instance, they were not asked to bless a new boat when it was launched for the first time. In Catholic countries, however, the priest was a necessity to avoid bad luck (Anson 1932, pp.55-56).

In case you were wondering, the answer I was looking for is that all ministers are spiritial descendant of the original Jonah.
