    Can anybody supply me with a reference that indicates that there are or were seven time zones in Canada?

    Well currently they are only six.

    The standard time zones are:

    ( The GMT- Greenwich Mean Time - will be different during the Daylight Savings Time Period)

    -the numbers refer to hours/minutes from Greenwich in England- which is 0000 GMT.

    *Newfoundland - GMT-0330

    Atlantic - GMT-0400

    Eastern - GMT-0500

    Central - GMT-0600

    Mountain - GMT-0700

    and Pacific - GMT-0800
