    In the US does a person lose their social security disability benefits if they commit a felony?

    According to this site, benefits will not be paid during such time as an individual is imprisoned for a crime. That makes sense, since prisoners' expenses are covered by the government anyway:

    What-A-Mess

    You can not receive Welfare and the like if you have been convicted of a Drug offense. (see page four)

    Can not participate in elections.

    Can not receive Federal Tuition assistance.
