If it's 83.9p per litre of petrol, and for every litre you get, you get 5p off the price, so its 78.9p a litre. How much petrol would i have to buy for me to end up paying an even amount, such as £30 or £35?

333 1/3 litres for £263, if you call that an even amount. Five times that if it has to be a multiple of £5.

I know petrol is expensive nowadays, but I doubt your car will take £263 worth of petrol!

@ 78.9p per litre you get 44.3599 litres for £35
