I think you mean a 'fluke', and it's the liver.

If you mean fluke, there are different ones that attack different body parts. Possibly the best known is the liver fluke, widely attacking sheep, but there are lung flukes, and many other parts can be attacked. All flukes are trematodes, a type of flatworm, and all are parasitic. Many have more than one type of host in their life-cycle - some infect snails which are then eaten by cattle or sheep and then infect them (the fluke actually causes the normally low down living snail to climb higher up the plants, which increases the chances of being passed on). Some have up to four hosts. Definitely to be avoided. One is the cause of Schistosomiasis or Bilharzia which are blood or bladder diseases (depending on the particular fluke).
