    The Han Dynasty of China was interrupted for what main reason and by whom?

    		As described in the below source, Wang Mang was an official of the Han dynasty who overthrew the dynasty and tried to found his own.

    Late in his reign, famine struck, and he was overthrown and killed in a peasant revolt, and the Han placed back on the throne.
