i have only found this one reference to the rolls royce silver ghost piccalilli:
"My husband has always thought Rolls-Royce was the best automobile of the world," Rose Browne said of her husband, Dave, who owns the Silver Ghost Piccalilli.
so i hope it's correct!

Well, that would probably be someones unique spelling of the 'Rolls Royce Piccadilly Roadster'.
Nice try though.

I must say Picadilly sounds more likely than Picallilli - and there's far more listings of it in connection with RR. But is Gobi a condiment? To my mind it's a dish (as is the unrelated cauliflower cheese).

I thought Gobi was a dish too, but the fact there was any car with a name that related in any way to cauliflowers was enough to convince me.

It doesn't convince me, the Banana holder. ;) Nope, once again BoyPipe, nice effort but no cigar.
Might I add that there are other ingredients in this condiment, loaded with GARDEN varieties.

Obviously the GARDEN clue went over everyone's head.
Frankie and Spanishliz might be ones who would have this condiment readily available, methinks.

Frankiebabe and robboy have both lived in the country where the condiment and the car are from. Antipasto would be my next clue if I were feeling generous.

Ok, now that Gmack has made a comeback, I think it will be quite obvious to him.
He knows what it means when I type in capitals. It means the answer is right under everyone's nose.

The Italians like to drown celery and olives in vinegar with the cauliflower too...

Here's a total cut-and-paste from Wikipedia:
"Giardiniera is a condiment consisting of serrano peppers, bell peppers, crushed red peppers, celery, carrots, cauliflower and green olives in vegetable oil. Italian giardiniera, the godfather of American giardiniera, contains no peppers, and is simply pickled vegetables in vinegar. Common vegetables in the Italian version include onions, celery, carrots and cauliflower."
This sounds similar to the Latin American "jalapenos en escabeche." I throw out everything but the peppers.
Now here's the funny-looking little Fiat Giardiniera:

I think I'd almost rather have the cauliflower than the Fiat....
