    		Ted MacDougall score 9 goals in one FA Cup match. Osgood's 8 goals is probably the record for Chelsea and/or for a First Division player.

    Ted MacDougall scored a total of 10 goals* in the 1971-72 FA Cup, but no source categorically states that that's the most in one season post-war.
