The Nutcracker. Though it isn't really about christmas, it is mainly shown during Christmas.

Nutcracker (Casse Noisette) by Tchaikovsky isn't about Christmas but it is set at Christmas. The combination of a nutcracker - not one of those little metal tongs things, but a wooden bodied figure of a soldier whose jaws crack the nuts - and sugar plums give away the Christmas connection. You can get the nutcrackers again, but I don't think they'e used for anything but decoration now, but sugar plum is a bit obselete as a term. They were either crystalised plums, or small pear-shaped (or round) sweets (candies) depending on your source of info. The original Nutcracker story was by E.T.A. Hoffman and was definitely not for children, but Alexandre Dumas (of Musketeers fame) rewrote it later into the version used in the ballet.
